Should I send my sick child to school?

If any of the following symptoms are present, your student should not come to school.

  • Temperature of 100.5 or higher before medicine
  • Vomiting or diarrhea in the previous 24 hours
  • Uncontrolled or unusual cough
  • Undiagnosed skin rash or open lesions
  • If prescribed antibiotics, student must receive 24 hours before returning to school
  • Flu-like symptoms in the past 24 hours

Can my student take medicine while at school?

Parents must follow the D20 procedures before their students may receive medication at school.

Permission to administer medication form must be completed and signed by a doctor and parents.

Parents must transport all medication, and all prescription and non-prescription medication must be in the original container.
