In 8th grade ELA last week, teachers used creativity and leveraged engagement through creating a book tasting cafe. Their next unit entails learning about different perspectives of the human experience through literature. Students have a choice of ten different grade level or above texts that they will be later reading. Students will be working together like a book club on this unit. This was for them to get a "taste" of the books to pick from.
