World Language Courses

6th Grade Spanish (Quarter Course)

Students will begin learning to communicate in Spanish while developing literacy in the four essential language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Instruction focuses on building foundational vocabulary and basic conversational skills to support early language acquisition. Students will also explore and gain an understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures, developing an appreciation for global perspectives and working toward increased language fluency.

7th & 8th Grade Spanish (Semester Course)

Students will develop conversational and foundational grammar skills in Spanish through modeling, oral activities, and interactive practice such as games and structured communication tasks. Instruction emphasizes listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to support basic language proficiency. Students will also gain exposure to Spanish-speaking cultures, including customs, traditions, and foods, to deepen their understanding of cultural diversity and global perspectives.
